Phase 2 robot

I built this robot as a research platform for my final year robotics project. It features a front
facing Ultrasonic proximity detector and an infrared obstacle sensor mounted on the rear. The
chassis is salvaged from a Tyco Rebound RC car, and is quite good for off road usage. 

I interfaced the remote control handset to my PC's parallel port using TTL logic. The robot itself
features a 40MHz transmitter so any data from the sensors can be sent back to the computer and
processed.

The robot features several different modes of AI obstacle avoidance and navigation algorithms. I
wrote these in C on a computer running Windows Me. Im now working on trying to get the programs to
work on Windows XP.

It cost me around 100.00 to make and has taken around 1 month to build and program
