Arachno by Sven Decock

This is my robotspider I made for school, it was my graduation 
project.

It doesn't look very good right now,because it isn't finished 
yet.You can see some more pictures and some info at

Ok some technical stuff :

Quadrapod driven by 8 hobby servo's 
Dual PIC 16f84 processors (although only one is visible on the photo)
On-board ISP (In-Circuit Serial Programming)
Dubble power supply (logic and motors separate
On-board fan for fire-fighting contests, althoug not yet hooked-up...
No sensors are attached yet, however some have been tested 
succesfully and were then ripped off again, like IR obstacle
detection, LDR light sensors and Piezo Heat detection using an 
elektret microphone.

Current status: Offline
further experimenting will be done when the time is right...I'm 
working on some BEAM robot's right now,my solarcells
should be arriving any day now...
First Symet born, pics soon to come,also pics of my earlier two 
motor microcore walker and Light-searching head will be
put online...
If I'd only had the time....
